1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Clever Cupboard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About Clever Cupboard

Clever Cupboard is a personal recipe management app that lets you save, organise, and share recipes. It includes AI-assisted import features and a Community section where users can optionally share recipes with others.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@clever-cupboard.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the recipes and content you upload to Clever Cupboard. By saving content in the App you grant Clever Cupboard a limited licence to store and display that content to you.

When you choose to share a recipe with the Community, you additionally grant other users a non-exclusive right to view that recipe within the App.

5. Community Sharing & Copyright

Clever Cupboard respects intellectual property rights. When you share a recipe publicly, you confirm that:

• You created the recipe yourself, or have permission from the rights holder to share it.
• You have not copied verbatim recipe instructions from a book, website, or other copyrighted source without authorisation.
• You understand that ingredient lists (as raw facts) are generally not protected by copyright, but written instructions and creative expression are.
• The AI import feature paraphrases recipe instructions in its own words as a courtesy to users — it is your responsibility to confirm you have the right to use the source material.

Clever Cupboard does not pre-screen community content for copyright compliance. If you believe a shared recipe infringes your copyright, see Section 9 (DMCA).

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Share content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
• Post false, misleading, or harmful recipe information.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the App or its AI features.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

7. Ratings & Community Content

The CC Score (Taste, Time Accuracy, Ease, Value) is generated from voluntary user ratings and is provided for informational purposes only. Clever Cupboard makes no warranty as to the accuracy of any rating or community recipe.

We reserve the right to remove any community content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

8. AI-Assisted Features

Clever Cupboard uses AI to help import and summarise recipes. AI-generated content may contain errors. Always use your own judgment when preparing food, particularly regarding allergens, cooking temperatures, and food safety.

Ingredient accessibility scores are AI estimates and may not reflect local availability.

9. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content in the Community section infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to:

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Clever Cupboard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be available at all times or that recipes are accurate, safe, or suitable for your dietary needs.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clever Cupboard and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or content found within it.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.
